PROJECT X
Unfortunately, the game is not yet announced, so I’m not at liberty to give any details about my work, because I respect the confidentiality of the company, but I can try to share some vague info of things related to my personal tasks.
Some of my main responsibilities working for People Can Fly were to take care of their newly built Quest System in Unreal Engine 5. That means making sure that the quest system meets not only the current project requirements but also the requirements of future projects that will use the system. Communication with all the related peers, lead designers and game directors was a crucial part of this endeavor. I made sure to go through all the scenarios and potential cases for quests and mission design that a game could have. I made sure that the requirement of the UI team and the Level Design team are met. I created a pillar documentation for the project specific feature of the system, as well asĀ the capabilities of the system as a whole. Last but not least, I created a test gym with different pre-scripted mission design scenarios for the level design team to use when building their levels.
